S.M.A.R.T. News
The S.M.A.R.T. Organization begins January 1, 2004. From January 1 to June 30, the general organization will be formulated through its new membership and Board of Directors. Official start of The S.M.A.R.T. Organization will begin July 1, 2004 and renewable membership based on a one-year membership.
S.M.A.R.T. Convention: The S.M.A.R.T. convention will be held in late July, 2004. Details to be released February 1, 2004. This new concept will be very exciting for T.O.P.S. members.
FUNdraising Committee: This committee has contacted several professional groups to offer shows and events as fundraisers for school groups. Shows and events will be announced in March, 2004. Bookings are now being reviewed for the 2004-2005 school year. School groups can contact The S.M.A.R.T. Organization for additional information.
Education Committee: A special product is being developed for school districts that are facing financial referendums as well as facing cutbacks or elimination of programs in the arts. The S.M.A.R.T. Organization has contacted several named entertainers, educators, and national civic leaders to write letters that support, not cutting or eliminating arts in the school program. Schools must contact S.M.A.R.T. to have letters written for this cause. The Education Committee will be working with The S.M.A.R.T. Foundation on this endeavor.
Bankruptcy and Medical Protection: S.M.A.R.T. tour operator members (T.O.P.S.) will have an opportunity to buy into a special plan to protect themselves and their clients against bankruptcy and medical issues while traveling. Watch our website for complete details in the near future.
